Stan Crum was one of the very best men I have had the pleasure to know and call my brother in law. Stan was a pilot. First in the Air Force and then a commercial pilot for many years before starting work with the FAA. Stan was a great guy and a gentleman. He was a devout Christian with a great love of life. Stan was a devoted husband and He a loving and caring Grandfather to his six Grandkids. He will be missed by all that knew him. God Bless you, Stan. Rest In Peace.

I worked with Stan for 9 years since starting with the FAA in 2011. He was my mentor and OJT instructor. The lessons learned were invaluable. The transition from industry to Air Safety Inspector is not easy and Stan made it seem otherwise. Stan's professionalism was a tremendous asset to aviation safety and to his coworkers. He was a great friend and I will miss the lunches and stories of  the old days at Hialeah High. As Aviators, we all enjoy a common bond. As Leonardo da Vinci wrote, "Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward. For there you have been and there you will long to return." Stan, my friend, has flown West and there we will meet again. God Bless you Stanley.

I did not know Stanly at Hialeah, but we met at a Hialeah Hight reunion.  As we both were pilots, we hit it off right away.  Stan was a real gentleman.  I never forgot that.  It's ovious that he will be missed by many.

Pat, I completely agree with all you said about Stan.  I knew him in high school never dreaming that one day he would become my brother-in-law, through marriage.  Stan was always the same in every circumstance, always kind, soft spoken, never a derogatory word about anyone.  I really can't believe he is gone.  My heart is breaking for Candy, the kids and grandkids.  All of us who knew him loved him and the world has lost truly one of the good ones.
