Lately I can’t seem to stop thinking about Kenny Feldman’s passing.  Kenny and I first met in elementary school.  Our mothers were friends. He lived around the corner, not far from Rocky, Bill Hodges, Chris Smith and others here on this site.  He was often brash, always tenacious, and smart as a whip.  And he would always be there as a friend…all good attributes for the attorney he became.  I vividly remember the last time I saw him.  It was at his sister’s engagement party in the summer of 1965.  I took this great looking girl as a date.  Unfortunately she had one foot in a cast, which somewhat immobilized her and made her an easy target for a gaggle of Kenny’s sister’s male friends… and Kenny! Later all three of us laughed about it and to this day I still get a chuckle or two when it crosses my mind.  I understand that at some point Kenny had his first 15 minutes of fame successfully defending a South Florida pornographer, or something like that.  I suspect that there were many other instances of successful defenses.  I was saddened to learn he had died.  Rest in Peace.

i remember Kenny and his mom- i used to go to his house because i lived right in the back of where he and his mom lived. i lost contact with Kenny once we were out of high school, i did not even know he became an attorney- but you are right he had the right temperament to be an attorney. i am sorry that he is gone because he and his mom were alway nice to me.

I didn't know Ken had died until just now.  I would see him from time to time at the Dade Country Court House.  As usual, he had a smile on his face.  He was in the circle of my friends at HHS that included Tom Watts, George Gokel, and many others who took those advanced math classes, and he was very, very bright.  Time goes by fast!  I trust the Lord made plenty of room for him and we will see him again.

Ken was a good friend. We worked together in the late 1960's at Eastern Airlines at Miami airport. We stayed in touch and in fact was my best man in my wedding to my first wife. Ken also worked in the cruise industry in the early 1980's and was part of the start up sales team at Premier Cruise Lines in the 1980's in Port Canaveral Florida. He was very bright and had a great energy level. We sort of lost track of each other in the late 1980's and last ran into each other at a Miami Heat Basketball game in 1997. I had heard of his passing a few years ago and I believe he had some heart problems he could not overcome.

I got to know Kenny about half way through our senior year.  'Cool Potatoes' is what I called him, easily drawing out that grin.  Always looked forward to the class we shared(whatever that was) and BS'n with Kenny.  RIP Cool Potatoe's.  You're here, in mind.
