SOUTHBURY, CONNECTICUT – Sandra R. Yuhasz, 61, beloved wife and mother, died Friday, June 20, 2008. She leaves behind her son, Paul G. Yuhasz, her daughter, Christine Yuhasz Salmon, her mother, Christine, and her husband of 40 years, Paul C. Yuhasz.

Sandra (Sandy to all who knew her) was born Oct. 15, 1946, in Ipswich, England, the oldest daughter of Christine Antonowicz. As a child of a U.S. Air Force family, she grew up and lived in many places around the country. She met her husband at Hialeah High School in Hialeah, Fla., in 1963, and they married in 1968.

Some of her interests were cooking (at which she excelled) and gardening. She also loved sewing, family board games and good company. She was the proud homemaker of a close knit family. The Yuhasz family has resided in Southbury since 1989.

Sandy was a sweet, selfless, loving and devoted mother and wife who will be greatly missed. Her family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 25, at Carpino Funeral Home, 750 Main Street South.

I don’t remember Sandra , but knew  her husband Paul who lived on the corner of E.49st. & 7 ave. I believe he became a pilot.
