Elizabeth "Liz" Wickenden McCrary

Elizabeth Anne Wickenden McCrary, 71, of Harrisburg, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017, peacefully at home with family by her side.

Elizabeth was born October 22, 1946 in Miami, Florida to the late Albert Ernest and Elizabeth Anne Patterson Wickenden. She was actively involved at Providence Baptist Church of Harrisburg. Elizabeth enjoyed volunteering with GATE Pregnancy Center and Crisis Assistance Ministry. 

The funeral service will be held 2 pm, Friday, December 15, 2017 at Providence Baptist Church of Harrisburg officiated by Rev. Rody Carland. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park Harrisburg at 12025 University City Blvd., Charlotte. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church, beginning at 1 pm. 

Those left to treasure Elizabeth's memory include son, Alexander Thomas (Tami) McCrary of Harrisburg; son, Mark Albert (Sandy) McCrary of Kannapolis; daughter, Lynn McCrary (David) Rys of Harrisburg, brother, Charles Albert (Kim) Wickenden of Huntersville; and four grandchildren, Maren Margaret McCrary, Caleb Alexander McCrary, Jacob Chance McCrary, and Ethan Michael McCrary.
